Prison vs. Asset Diagnostic

Is the business serving the mission or owning the man?

Use this diagnostic to examine whether your business is an asset under stewardship or a prison with better branding.

Context

A business can produce income and still produce bondage. It can grow revenue while shrinking the owner's peace, family presence, spiritual clarity, and decision freedom.

This diagnostic is for honest owners who want the business to become a tool again.

Stewardship Standard

Everything entrusted to you must be governed before it is multiplied.

Questions

Answer with the last 90 days in mind.

  • Freedom: Can the business operate without constant emotional and operational dependence on me?
  • Cash: Does the business create margin or only movement?
  • People: Are roles, authority, and accountability clear enough to reduce chaos?
  • Family: Has the business been taking time and energy that belongs at home?
  • Identity: Do I know who I am when the business is not performing?
  • Systems: Are recurring problems being solved structurally or only personally absorbed?
  • Mission: Does this company still serve the larger assignment or has it become the assignment?
  • Exit: Could this business be sold, delegated, or simplified without destroying me?

Interpreting the result

Asset

It creates margin, structure, and mission capacity.

Mixed

It has value, but owner dependence and disorder are eroding the benefit.

Prison

It consumes identity, time, home, health, and peace while calling itself success.

Next Step

A business should be stewarded, not worshiped.

If the diagnostic exposed bondage, the next step is not more hustle. It is order.
